For People Who Work for a Living: Help Shape What Boom Stalker Becomes

The stock market has an incredible talent for making its biggest moves at the exact moment you clock in for a long shift. If you have ever checked your phone on break and wondered how you managed to miss both the rally and the reversal, you already understand part of why Boom Stalker exists.
I work long shifts in industrial operations. I know what it feels like to care about investing but not have unlimited time to stare at charts. That problem led me to start building Boom Stalker: investing technology designed around the reality that most people have jobs, families, and lives outside the market.
A better question than “What stock should I buy?”
For beginners, the first problem is often not finding a hot ticker. It is understanding what is happening, what the risk might be, and which questions to ask before making a decision. For experienced traders, the problem can be time: how do you separate information that matters from the thousands of headlines, indicators, and price moves that do not?
Our guiding idea is simple: technology should help make the process more understandable—not promise that every decision will be right, or that losses can be avoided.
Meet Scout, our guide through the paper-trading build
Boom Stalker is currently developing and testing a simulated trading experience. Scout is the character who helps explain the idea: make paper-portfolio activity, decisions, and risk easier to follow. The testing stage matters because simulated strategies need to be observed in changing markets, including the days when things go wrong. Paper results are not real client performance and do not predict actual investing results.
We're also introducing Elodie, our AI-generated spokesperson, who has already found a way to turn the chaos of 12-hour shifts and the stock market into a joke. She brings a little personality to the mission; Scout helps us talk about the investing concepts underneath it.
What do working people actually want from investing technology?
This is where I would genuinely value your input. If you had a few minutes after a long day, what would make an investing app clearer and more useful?
Would you rather see simple explanations of market terms, easier-to-follow paper-portfolio activity, beginner lessons about diversification and risk, or a clearer view of why a simulated strategy entered or exited a position? Is your biggest challenge understanding the market, finding time, or knowing which information matters?
There is no need to share what you own, how much money you have, or what you intend to trade. At this stage, I am asking for general ideas and feedback about educational content and the product experience—not offering individualized recommendations or opening investment accounts.
Building carefully comes before launching anything regulated
Boom Stalker is currently a paper/simulated investing beta under Zapf Technologies LLC. We are also exploring a possible future registered investment-advisory business. That would be a separate regulated service, subject to applicable registration, qualifications, operational safeguards, and approval. It is not available now, and no advisory-service launch date is being promised.
For now the work is testing, learning, communicating clearly, and improving the simulated experience. No live advisory client accounts, real-money discretionary management, or personalized investment advisory services are being offered through this article.

Want to follow the build or share an idea?
Follow Boom Stalker on our social channels and visit boomstalker.com for development updates, investing education, and some much-needed market humor. If you have general feedback about the paper beta or topics you want explained, you can email steven@boomstalker.com with the subject “Boom Stalker Beta Feedback.” Please do not send account numbers, financial documents, investment instructions, or sensitive personal information.
I started Boom Stalker because working people deserve technology that respects their time. If you recognize that problem, I would love to hear which part of the experience matters to you. Let's build something worth understanding.
Disclosure: Boom Stalker currently provides paper/simulated investing experiences and educational content. The platform is not offering live investment advisory services, and this article does not offer individualized investment advice. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Simulated results may differ materially from real-world results.
